Managing Your Cloud Environment

For IT, a group largely focused on managing the technical components of a company’s IT environment, the increase in outsourcing infrastructure to Cloud providers has resulted in a few challenges. Outsourcing often means a loss of control, making it more difficult to manage, monitor and secure IT resources. In today’s fast-paced business environment, companies need real-time access to their Cloud-based resources to ensure their infrastructure runs efficiently and effectively. To do this, companies need insight into their resource utilization, server configuration, and the ability to adjust as needed. A good Cloud Management strategy should give customers a holistic view of their Cloud environment, the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues, and an easy way to monitor Cloud-based resources.

To address these challenges, Immedion recently announced the release of our new Cloud Management Platform (CMP).

More Control. Immedion’s CMP is designed to give customers more control and insight into their Cloud-based resources through a single-pane-of-glass. Our CMP provides intuitive monitoring and reporting of CPU, disk and network usage, giving customers a better sense of their performance and utilization. With the user-friendly UI, companies have the ability to deploy, configure and manage virtual servers on their own. Having access to this information in a single-pane-of-glass means customers will be able to easily find the information they need about their data and applications running in the cloud.

Resource Elasticity. Immedion’s Cloud Management Platform also provides on-demand resource elasticity to assist with capacity and performance management. The ability to set automated parameters around resource elasticity gives companies the flexibility to quickly scale up or down based on their business needs, while having some controls in place to ensure they don’t exceed their budget. These capabilities give customers greater flexibility with their changing technical needs as they continue to manage and grow their business.

Local Support. Of course, although customers are capable of self-service and management of their own environment, our support team and Cloud experts are always available to answer any questions that may arise or provide assistance. With Immedion’s new Cloud Management Platform, customers will have the control and elasticity capabilities of other national providers, with the attention and hands-on service of a local partner.

We look forward to continuing to offer our customers the same ultra-reliable, high performance infrastructure and dedication to customer service we’ve always provided. Over the next year, Immedion will roll out new features available on our Cloud Management Platform, so look for more to come!
