McMillan Pazdan Smith is an architecture, planning and interior design firm with expertise in corporate, community, healthcare, higher education and K-12 planning and design. The firm is comprised of six locations which span the Southeast region.
With employees across multiple locations using outdated versions of Microsoft Office, McMillan Pazdan Smith’s email solution had become more of a liability than an asset. The older software versions presented compatibility issues that slowed user productivity and it was difficult to manage their on-premise Exchange server. With offices in Greenville, Spartanburg, Charleston, Asheville, Charlotte and Atlanta, the processes in place were simply inefficient. All of their offices needed to shift to one easily managed platform.
In addition, because productivity is imperative for a nationally recognized business like McMillan Pazdan Smith, the project needed to be completed in less than 30 days.
Immedion recommended the firm transition to Office 365 to rid them of compatibility issues and alleviate the burdens that come with an on-premise Exchange server.
McMillan Pazdan Smith was able to draw on Immedion’s expertise during every phase of the Office 365 migration, beginning with including the tools their users needed in the solution design. The Immedion team worked closely with the firm to plan out each step of the migration, staging the move beforehand to ensure zero productivity downtime would be had. When the day came to make the switch, Immedion migrated all six offices to Office 365 over the course of one weekend.
With the help of Immedion, McMillan Pazdan Smith was able to seamlessly migrate their organization to Office 365 with minimal disruption of employees during business hours.
The solution centralizes email management for all six offices, makes software updates a breeze and eliminates the cost of maintaining an Exchange server.
