Cincinnati, OH (August 2017) Immedion LLC, a premiere provider of data center, Cloud and managed IT services, will provide the ongoing technical infrastructure support and management, including on premise networking, hardware and additional technical components, for the 2017 Western and Southern Open (operated by Cincinnati Tennis LLC).
The Western and Southern Open is a top-tier Master’s 1000 event on the men’s ATP World Tour and a Premiere 5 event for the WTA (women). The tournament often hosts the sport’s top players. As the nation’s oldest professional tennis tournament still played in its city of origin, the Western and Southern Open has boasted attendance of approximately 200,000 fans each year for the past four years.
Immedion will execute the move of Cincinnati Tennis LLC’s technical infrastructure which is needed to support multiple aspects of the tournament – from ticketing to media relations. With such a large gathering of fans, volunteers, players and reporters, Cincinnati Tennis LLC needs their network operating optimally throughout the tournament. Immedion’s team of engineers architected a technical solution to replicate the data from Cincinnati Tennis’ Mason and downtown facilities. This ensures the data is backed-up at multiple locations, reducing the risk of downtime due to power or internet failure. Additionally, Immedion will provide the means necessary to run the Ticketmaster ticketing and scanners. Immedion’s highly-scalable environment enables Cincinnati Tennis LLC to accommodate the wide variances in traffic from the Ticketmaster purchasing site.
Immedion is headquartered in Greenville, SC and operates seven data center facilities in North Carolina, South Carolina and Ohio.
