Charleston, SC (March 2018) Immedion LLC, a premiere provider of Cloud, data center and managed IT services, is pleased to announce that Jon Nelson has been named to the Forty Under 40 Class of 2018 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
Each year the Business Journal honors a “Who’s Who” class of individuals from the Charleston business community. Nominations submitted by colleagues and organizations are independently scored by judges for the final list of honorees. The elite group of young business leaders are recognized for their success and community involvement.
Nelson has been with Immedion since 2012, first as Director of Operations and Engineering of the Charleston facility, and was later promoted as Director of Operations and Engineering for all seven of Immedion’s data center facilities. Jon leads Immedion’s special projects team as well as the site engineering team which provides front-line technical support. Jon’s role has been instrumental in establishing Immedion as the data center and Cloud provider of choice for the Lowcountry area.
Outside of his professional career, Jon is actively involved in community service with several local non-profit organizations. Among other commitments aimed at helping youth in the community, Jon serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Ambassador’s Council of the First Tee of Greater Charleston and serves as advisory council for Charleston County School District’s Audit and Finance Committee.
“During his tenure with Immedion, Jon has played a vital role in the growth and success of our Charleston location,” said Immedion’s CEO, Frank Mobley. “Both inside the workplace and out in the community, Jon has demonstrated his dedication and character through his passion for helping others. Jon is very deserving of this honor, and we are proud to call him one of our own.”
Nelson will be recognized with this year’s Forty Under 40 honorees at an awards ceremony to be held at Alhambra Hall May 17, 2018.
